Overeating & food habits

Make peace with food

When eating stops being about hunger, willpower and diets rarely help for long. Hypnotherapy works with the part of you that reaches for food, so a calmer, easier relationship with eating can take root and last.

Who this is for

Does this sound like you?

This work is for you if food has started to feel complicated:

  • You eat when stressed, bored, tired or low, not just when hungry
  • Evenings or weekends undo your good intentions, and the cycle repeats
  • You feel guilt after eating, which somehow leads to eating more
  • Diets work for a while, then the old patterns quietly return
  • You'd like food to just be food again, without the constant mental noise
How I help

A kinder way to change

This is not a diet, and I will never hand you a meal plan or a set of rules. Overeating is almost never about greed or weak will; it's a pattern your mind learned, usually as a way of coping, and patterns can be gently rewritten. In our sessions we calm the urges at their source, rebuild your response to the moments that trigger them, and restore a sense of ease around food.

We go carefully and kindly. If it becomes clear that what you're facing needs medical or specialist support alongside our work, I'll always say so and help you find it.

Common questions

It's natural to be curious

Is this a diet or weight loss programme?
No. There are no meal plans, rules or weigh-ins. We work on the patterns and feelings that drive eating, and a healthier relationship with food follows from there.
What about emotional or comfort eating?
That's exactly what this approach is best at. Comfort eating is a learned way of coping, and hypnotherapy helps your mind find calmer ways to meet the same need.
How many sessions will I need?
It varies more than smoking, because food patterns are usually older and more woven in. We'll agree a realistic picture on your free call, and review as we go.
Will you judge what I eat?
Never. You will not be judged, weighed or lectured here. This is a kind, practical space, whatever your story with food has been.
