Anxiety, confidence & more

Calm is closer than you think

Anxiety convinces you that this is just how you are. It isn't. The racing thoughts, the dread, the avoiding: these are patterns your mind has learned, and with the right help they can be unlearned, gently and for good.

Who this is for

Does this sound like you?

Anxiety wears many faces. These are some of the ones I see most:

  • A background hum of worry that never quite switches off
  • Confidence that vanishes in meetings, interviews or social situations
  • Public speaking that fills you with dread days in advance
  • Overthinking every conversation after it's finished
  • Avoiding things you'd secretly love to do
How I help

Steady, practical help

Hypnotherapy is deeply relaxing in itself, which is often the first relief anxious clients feel. But the real work goes further: we retrain how your mind responds to the situations that spark the anxiety, and rebuild the quiet confidence underneath. You'll also leave with simple techniques you can use anywhere, for life.

After more than 20 years teaching in secondary schools, I've spent a career helping people find calm and confidence under pressure. That experience runs through every session.

Common questions

It's natural to be curious

Will I be in control during hypnosis?
Completely. Hypnosis is not mind control. You can't be made to do or say anything against your will, you remain aware throughout, and you can stop at any time.
Can you help with public speaking or interviews?
Yes, and often quite quickly. We calm the fear response and rehearse the situation in your mind so that the real thing feels familiar rather than frightening.
How is this different from just relaxing?
Relaxation is where we start, but the change comes from retraining the patterns underneath: how your mind reacts to the specific situations that trigger you.
Is this a replacement for medical care?
No, and I'll always be straight with you about that. Hypnotherapy works well alongside support from your GP, and if I think you need medical or specialist help, I'll say so.
